Honda calls this feature "Anti-theft". Its
purpose is to prevent unauthorized users of your
radio and will not allow your car stereo to operate
without the proper code.
Honda began
using the antitheft
feature, around the
1990 and is still used
in many Honda vehicles today!
Retrieving your antitheft unlock code is simple. We
will need your radio serial number located either on
the radio chassis STEP 2-TYPE 2 or by following
STEP 2-TYPE 1.
Type 2 will require the radio to be removed from the
vehicle, to locate the Honda radio serial number.
