1 Find your radio serial number

Saturn uses a security feature called "TheftLock." Follow these steps to read the serial number your radio needs.

Read the serial number

  • Turn the ignition ON — the radio displays LOC.
  • Press and hold preset buttons 2 & 3 (or 1 & 4) for about 10 seconds.
  • The display changes from LOC to a three-digit number. Write it down.
  • Press the AM/FM button — a second three-digit number appears. Write it to the right of the first.
  • You now have a six-digit serial number (some Saturn & Geo radios show all four digits at once).
RDS radios (2003 and newer) are not supported.
If you enter the wrong code eight times the radio goes to INOP — leave the ignition on for an hour to return to LOC. Need help? Contact us.
