Just the VIN. Daewoo radio codes are retrieved from the Vehicle Identification Number, so there is no serial number to dig out and no reason to pull the radio. Our order form asks for the VIN, your email address, and the year and model of the car. That is everything.

With the key at ACC or ON, a press of the power/volume knob wakes the audio system, and the display flashes F or COdE. Some units show AF first. AF is the Area Frequency setting — a single digit that goes in before the security code. It is the step that catches Daewoo owners out, because the radio will not accept the security code while it is still waiting for that AF digit.
